Yes. All of our deterrence and egg addling work is fully compliant with the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and applicable state regulations. We hold and maintain the required permits and keep clear documentation for every property we serve.

Do the Border Collies ever harm the geese?

No. Our dogs are trained to herd, not to catch. They simulate the presence of a natural predator, which prompts geese to relocate. There is no physical contact and no harm to the birds.

How quickly will we see results?

Accepted Answer

Most properties see a meaningful reduction in goose presence within the first four to six weeks of consistent daily visits. Full displacement generally takes years of regular pressure. Canada geese are habitual and return to the place where they were born to nest year after year. Only when the geese learn that a predator has taken up permanent residence will the geese learn to nest in a new location.

Egg addling is conducted during nesting season, typically March through May. Timing varies slightly by region and weather. We monitor nesting behavior and act within the required window.

Do you offer year-round service?

Yes. Goose behavior changes with the seasons: breeding, molting, and migration each require different responses. Year-round monitoring is the most reliable way to keep a property clear. However, some properties have an influx of Canada geese over different seasons, and we offer seasonal contracts as well.
